When looking for a HD what are the points to look for?
I have a Hitachi 500G HDP725050gla360 , i want a 1TB
for more storage and move the OS on that too.

Well you want to be looking at RPM eg 7200rpm-5400rpm etc.....You would want a 7200rpm one if its your main drive.
I would suggest
WD Caviar 1tb
Samsung f3 1tb

Yep, more cache = faster generally. Doesn't matter what your current HDD has if you're adding a new one to the system and installing the OS on that one. :) You only want to worry about matching up HDDs if you're putting them in RAID.

Thats what i meant to ask.
Aso i read this in the reviews :-
if you put 2 of them in RAID0 , create yourself 200Gb partition and that will give you 250MB/s read and 220MB/s write stable . the response then will be around 10ms and Win7 Score 6.1
sounds awesome!

K, thanks,
do you reckon 2 of the Samsung F3 ITB better/faster than single WD Cavier ITB
They would be 2 x 32 MB Cache against 1 x 64 MB Cache right.
