OcUK Poker Thread.

Some lucky goit on Real Deal won a WSOP seat last night. Only 44 entered for €100, winner got a WSOP package worth €12,000. :(

Shame I didn't have €100 myself to enter, was a total donkfest.

Playing their freerolls, just came 3rd/48 for €11. 750/1.5k blinds and I get AA (BB, 17k) vs K-10 (22k) who shoved from the button , board pops up AKJQ6 :mad:

Just won my 2nd highest about ever, $50 woohoo. :D Was under $7 too when I decided to play a $2.20 SNG (yeah I know bad bankroll management but I was feeling giddy).

Considering I've never deposited any money I'm in a good mood now. Let the run continue, $600 is the goal.

possibly my best bluff to date, and there wasn't even a 7-2 bounty :p

If he has TT or similar, I think he should call. Fortunately, people aren't that good

Such a weird hand, did you have some sort of read that he can be c/r bluffing rivers often? Any idea what his fold to 3bet stat is?

In your opponents shoes, I just check/fold river with TT. I can't work out what kind of hand takes a c/r/f line on the river.

Yeah he was a bit of a monkey, and very capable of trying to bluff me off an ace there. He either didn't fully consider his range, or thought I didn't have the balls to rebluff. Thankfully I found my balls :P.

These 2 hands need to be read in the context of being consecutive hands against same player

Just a heads up :) for those that aren't aware.

WSOP main event starts today

I remember when I used to get excited about the ME, but waiting till November for the final table has imo ruined it. Momentum in poker is HUGE - most of the folks getting to the final table will be lucky amateurs that have just got a rush of cards and confidence on the day/week. The players turning up for the FT in November will be completely different players. It has just reduced the whole thing to a pointless SnG.

I look forward to this every year and agree with your point about it being a sng at the end. Would be so much better if it just carried on to the finish without the break. THe players go away during the break and get coaching and advice..shame really.

Darvin Moon came back loads worse than befroe the break :p

Ok this was just stupid. Yes im playing poker on facebook and yes that is retarded and yes thats why this situation came about but whatever.

Some idiot raised from $50 to $400 in (play)chips pre flop, i folded because my hand could easily have been beat by then and judging by my previous luck i didnt want to throw away anymore chips. Anyway....

fuuuuu.jpg

By the way the guy who raised had 3H 5D or something crap.

I'm not playing properly on it my mate asked me to go on and play with him so i did. Its obviously going to be full of idiots but that hand was just stupid..
