I'm currently sitting in a hotel room in Hamburg twiddling my thumbs, so I thought I'd create this thread, apologies in advance if it's too "anorak" for half of you :D It was prompted by my lol'ing at a Taxi driver's apparent inability to understand how it worked; Open the windows and let the warm air in instead of turning down the temperature or upping the fan speed a couple of notches

I'm still rather taken by this whole digital climate control lark after not having had it before. But mine's set to 20.5c (yes, the .5 makes all the difference ;) ) and full auto, which keeps the cabin nice and cool during the day, without having the fans screaming away trying to cool it to 16c or something ;)

How do you like yours?

:D

Right now it's a case of lowest temp and fans on full blast down here. Noisy though after 5 mins I usually set it to 20 degrees. Any lower and the temperature difference when stepping out of the car is horrible.

I just have mine set to "MIN" with the blowers on about half way when i'm on the motorway.

If I'm not on the motorway, or not at 80mph+ I just tend to have the windows down.

It depends on the outside temperature but anywhere between 17 and 19, always on full auto in the Mondeo. In the BMW it's set to about 18 (analogue rotary dials) on both sides, about middle of the air intake, with a fan speed of one or two.

Set to 20 degrees Auto. I don't see the point of Low and Hi, the whole point of climate control is that it does the work for you. The only time I touch the controls is to slow the fans down manually if I receive a call just after getting into a very hot/cold car.

Currently 18.5ºc. If the weather gets up to the high 20ºc's again then i'll probably knock that down to minimum. During the winter it's typically at 21ºc.

16C both sides, back passenger vents turned off. Blowing only through middle dash vents @ about 3/4 speed, lovely cold cold air.
