Just picked up a PS3, thoughts on games?

Hello,

So my wife being the lovely loady she is bought me a PS3 out of the blue last week since the course I was going to go on was cancelled. I already have a 360 but have been interested in the ps3 exclusive stuff for a while. I've got these in mind;

inFAMOUS
Uncharted 1&2
Little Big Planet
Heavy Rain

Any other that are out/coming out that will be interesting? I love games with story with genre's such as third/first shooters, rpg's and sandbox games.

Appreciate any input :)
 
I know you already mentioned them, but I can't recommend the Uncharted games enough. While I've had my PS3 since just after launch, I only picked them both up very recently. Having now completed them both I can't believe I let them slip me by until now. 2 of the most fantastic games I've played in a long time.
 
Unchartererered is awesome, as is the sequel. MGS4 is one of my fave games aswell.

Heavenly sword is something you could pick up very cheap these days, and is definately worth a play through.

2010 fifa world cup don't worry about depreciation it's fifa 10 that will be worth 10p when 11 comes out not this game as fifa 11 isn't going to expand on the international side of football.

Demons souls is a must buy.

Definitely definitely sit down and play through both Uncharted games. Awesome stuff. Definitely don't just opt for Uncharted 2, because both games are wonderful bits of old school adventuring, and both look and play brilliantly. Uncharted 2 was hands-down my game of 2009 by a country mile, and I have all three consoles. Simply fantastic, gripping, exciting and fun from beginning to end - as is the first game.

Killzone 2 is also excellent, including online, but if you already play Modern Warfare 2 or plan to pick it up for the PS3, that's what your mates will be playing. Everybody's Golf is also great, if you're into that sort of thing. MGS4 is worth playing through if only to keep up with things and experience moments that most other people have already experienced.

I'd give Resistance 2 a miss, personally, especially if you're deciding between that and Killzone 2. InFamous also left me cold and remains half-finished on my shelf.

There are loads of great games on PSN as well - I'd look at all of the PixelJunk games for a start, Super Stardust HD, GTI Club+ for arcade racing fun, and that's all I can think of for the moment.

edit: Duh, and God of War 3. Although, if you weren't a fan of the first two games (for whatever reason), don't expect anything new. Do expect incredible visuals, though.
