It's funny actually, posting about the HK53 made me think about a time when I was in Sarajevo. I was very good friends with a lad in my Unit who was a CPBG to a particularly important Officer. He was knackered after a long trip, got careless in the armoury and had an ND. There's still an armour-piercing round with his name on it in the wall. Bless - he got some stick

I don't doubt that HK make a better firearm that Enfield MR, my point was from a police / military comparison.

If you joined the military 20 years or so ago, you will know of the horrendous teething problems the SA80 had.

The fact that HK sorted the problems out speaks volumes.
