Just bought some raybans -

Ray-Ban + eBay = fail.

I would open a Paypal dispute. I don't understand why people buy such items from eBay. It's asking for trouble.

It's good that you're getting your money back, but like lcg said, you'll be lucky to get authentic stuff from ebay.

Since you got your fake rayban wayfarers (instead of aviators), you might also want to bid on a fake ferrari daytona and some tickets to 1980s Miami. :p

There is no risk at all with ebay, this guy just proved that with the fact that he just got a free pair of sunglasses.

Don't underline stuff, makes me want to click them ;).

Oh he just replied saying this, which is nice of him -

Oh god are they fake? I am so sorry, for my own reference how do you know if they are fake or not? I had no idea? I will issue you a full refund today and you can keep the glasses. Once again i am very sorry. Thanks Craig
Still report him.

There is so much fake professional cycling team kit on Ebay at the moment (Le Tour ongoing so that is obviously why), you can't actually find any legit stuff.

Because it can be stupidly cheap at times? I bought an Athlon II X2 250 and a Gigabyte GA-MA790GPT-UD3H motherboard of it for £59 delivered.

Seems pretty logical to me tbh.

I use ebay because its the easiest place to buy anything you want, easily. I honestly would be lost without it.

Where for example would i buy something random, like a 15m HDMI cable, or any other random connector or obscure item. I'd have to literally trawl the web looking for one which suited me at the right pricepoint and quality to meet the task in hand. What about random car parts, for which the only other option would be contacting a main dealer who will have to order them from germany at huge cost.

Ebay its all under one "roof", i can type "Mercedes crank sensor", or "15M HDMI", or "Garden Tiller" into the same box, find a fantastic deal on all three, and have them all ordered within 5 minutes.

Surely people understand that? Its just a huge shopping mall.

Because people are smart ;)

Ebay has saved me so much money it's unbelievable.

My camera was over £400 in retail shops and e-tailers and I got it from a ebay powerseller for only £340.

Same with my lens, it was about £200, but I got it from a powerseller for £140.

These are just 2 examples.

Exactly this. As long as you can trust that you're buying from a decent source - there are loads of bargains out there :)
