The "Photographer's Self Portrait" Thread.

This is a thread for people to show and share pictures they took of themselves.
So ideally, this will be a thread showing how different photographers attempt to shoot themselves either by set up / remote / timer or physically press the shutter to snap themselves.

Please do not post pictures taken by another person.
A little note on how you did it would be nice~

Here's one for a start:


Strobist info:
Metz 48 AF-1, 1/16 power shot through white umbrella on camera left back.
A big silver 42" reflector placed on the lower, back right of the camera.

I literally held the camera up with my left hand and snapped. Took about 5 tries - the lack of an articulated screen made it harder (too used to my E620's).

I like the concept of this thread, although I'm rubbish at self portraits, have a quick effort (I may return with better ideas...)

Nothing special, balanced on a chair as my tripod is currently touring the west country with my girlfriend and just triggered on a remote with an SB600 on wireless mode as wanted the flash a little higher than on camera...

Taken in Jersey last month. Mounted my Canon 400D on the Gorillapod which was then placed on a rock and used the wireless remote (which you can just about see in my hand ¬_¬) to take the picture. 3 exposures HDR'd.
It's by far the best Self Portrait that I have done, I normally hate pictures that I've taken of myself.

Technique: Tripod and 10 second delay, plus complete mastery of the elements in order to summon a halo of cloud for myself.

I don't really have many self shot photos of myself. The only one I can find is one I shot for the about page on my site and I only took that because I was in the middle of Wales, on my own and hadn't see an aircraft for hours!
