Manhunt in Northumbria on BBC

The IPCC was able to confirm two Tasers had been fired at Moat.
We will find out when they did and if that caused involuntary muscle spasm.
I think everyone should be accountable for their actions scum and cops.

The Tasers were fired at Moat, did they actually hit Moat?

Are you aware of how a Taser works and it's limitations?

The point of the IPCC investigations is to establish the facts, you however seem to have made your mind up that the police failed, what are you basing this on, have your reviewed all of the evidence that has not been disclosed?

Did you read both posts? if so then you will know that is what the IPCC is looking into I have just said the same ;)

For every action there is a consequence.

The IPCC confirmed it because it was plain as the nose in front of you and referred to them by Northumbria Police. Taser discharge is electronically registered and to the point where the scene can be forensically examined to prove so, aside from the fact that 21 feet of wire with barbs is there as well.

Indeed we will find out in due course.

Also, of course the police should be held accountable, hence why there is less than lethal option and an independent body to investigate referrals both voluntary and automatic.

Accountable does not mean written off before the investigation has begun or perhaps you have valuable insight to share ?

From the BBC

"Tasers deliver powerful electric shocks of up to 50,000 volts which are intended to be a "less lethal" alternative to conventional firearms and
are meant to temporarily paralyse a target."

"Some experts have questioned whether the Tasers may have caused involuntary muscle spasms."

You do realise that IPCC, as a matter of course, investigate all deaths related to police matter regardless of the circumstances?

Just because they're involved doesn't necessarily indicate any wrongdoing.

Ah excellent, news sites are the finest of sources to gather such information, especially at a point in time like this, where they wouldn't dream of posting anything controversial in order to generate views.

I only read whats on the net or TV like most do.
I think moat is better off dead. I just hope this investigation does not take over a year like the last big IPCC case(which still has not made up it's mind)

BBC are saying that autopsy cites the Moat had wounds consistent with the weapon he was carrying.

The family want a second autopsy, I really hope they aren't thinking anything other than he shot himself.

What hasn't been broadcast or published is the fact that AFO's do not use shotguns on humans, only on animals.

Like the Tac Advisers that were there you mean, the experienced men on the ground, the ones who have been fully briefed?

I think Deuse's post did not imply what you mention and perhaps referred to the ' experts ' wheeled out by the BBC etc ? I am sure he will correct me on that.

Perhaps the TV and net aspect is not the best way to form an opinion ? I mean you not offence at that.

As for the IPCC investigation you mention, perhaps not a clear cut case that the police were responsible for his death although I do not like what I see when that footage is shown.

Oh ok just for you :D

http://www.safetygearhq.com/taser-facts-info.htm

"The 50,000 volt Taser, with it's more powerful 18 to 26 watt pulse disrupts the central nervous system and directly controls the skeletal muscles causing an uncontrollable contraction of the muscle tissue."

"The EMD effect overrides voluntary muscle control, even among pain-tolerant, aggressive combatants. The subject will be quickly immobilized and on the ground. "

Oh only $96 :D
