You can get it but you have to have "veterency" ie owned a previus bf game.

easiest way to get it is to dign up for the free battlefield heroes and register the account on the bc2 veterency site and it will unlock.
 
The m1 is a pretty bad gun, it has a slow fire rate and doesnt seem to do a lot of damage.
 
It does a fair bit of damage, but you have to pick your shots well. It wil be hard to use especialy if your used to going full auto to get kills.
 
have you registered the accounts on there with the one you use for bc2?


if so when you're playing do you have a little white box with a number next to your rank on the in game scoreboard?

if you haven;t then you've done something wrong.


You need to link your Gamertags, PSN IDs and old EA master accounts to your current EA account for the Veteran's Program to have the most information possible to find your Battlefield games. You can do the steps below to link your accounts.

doh looks like they've changed it from release to stop you using bf heroes alone
