I watch this from time to time and I don't know why because it just makes me so angry.

An example from the episode I just watched, an Indian is trying to enter the country on a student’s visa. He apparently studied her previously on an IT course. Yet he has no idea about anything on his course, he doesn't know where the college is located or any names of his lecturers.

Not only that he has another college certificate for passing a college course at the exact same time he was supposed to be studying at the other place...

The immigration officer phoned the college and they confirmed the student had a high attendance so without any other proof the guy was allowed into the Country :(

'Student' - So no work, only sleep and eat for me now!
Camera man - And maybe a bit of studying as well?"
'Student' - Oh... yea, that as well.

And that website for the other college that he had certificates from looked so fake and the last update was from 2007.. just when he claimed to start school. Not suspicious or anything.

The program is full of scumbags and more often than not quite amusing. It’s just not worth getting annoyed by it. You should watch the Australian version, they’ve got the right idea.

Yep when they spoke to him on camera at the end it made my blood boil.

I am guessing there is someone studying under his name at the college that said his attendance was great.

And yes funnily enough I watch the Ozzy version of this show and it is night and day difference between the UK and Australia. No messing about there and most of them are sent back to their home country the same day.

Why the UK border force doesn't adopt the Australian tight border controls is beyond me

I remember watching an episode where a blatantly lieing/dodgy nigerian chap was let through (because he feared for his life if he returned - standard line the smuggling agency probably wrote down for him to say) and asked to attend court at a certain date - you can predict the rest

It makes my blood boil - I really hope the new government clamps down hard on this issue

The Border Force enraged me when some silly woman was asking stupid questions upon my entry into Dover. "Have you been to London before?"
Yes, I lived there for 6 years you silly bint.
I found that waving HM's Passport in her face solved the issue.

As for whatever the OP's complaining about, boo hoo.

I agree with the OP. without any hard evidence she could not refuse entry to the scumbag. It should be down to the staff on the floor weather or not they let them in.

It is down to their supervisors, they can refuse for insufficient positive evidence as well as sufficient negative evidence. It happens all the time on that very show. I've seen exactly the same circumstance where they rejected the guy because they thought it was probably a fake school.

When I came here from mexico the nice man said to me you can get in if you make a sentence with these three words. Green Pink Yellow.

So I say to heem My telephone it go green green so I pink eet up and say Yellow.

I now work in call center

We breed plenty of our own morons in this country, so big deal. But I can see that letting more in only adds to the problem. Perhaps for every one we let in, we should deport another.

I remember coming back from Spain on a ferry into Portsmouth. I got taken aside and asked where I was going. I said I'm going to London. The Border Officer literally shouted at me saying, "Why are you going to London?"

My answer, "I live there."

Also I was quite annoyed that I was the only person who got called over by the border officers and I happened to be the only ethnic guy travelling on the ferry. Coincidence?
