Hey guys,

Currently I have a Canon i865 which I've had for donkeys, it's been a fantastic printer...printed for me thousands of times...but...now...it's well and truely shagged.

So I'm in the market for a new printer.

Requirements are as follows:

To be able to print on CD's/DVD's
Photo print quality to be good enough to sell

I'm undecided to go for A4 or A3 - Options on both?

I'm inclined to stick with Canon, as their inks are cheap, and they make good gear.

Wireless would be nice, but not necessary

So guys, what are my options? :) - budget? Well lets not be silly but I don't mind paying for quality.

Cheers,
Jake

I'm very impressed with my Canon IP4700. Duplex printing, and photo's come out amazing.

Found some 3rd party ink set for £16.40 delivered, so ink is cheap.

Canon PIXMA iP4700 about £70, stay with Canon. I'm using a iP4300 two years old, can't fault it been using compatible ink cartridges no probs at all.

epson all the way, inks are cheaper than any other make, if you use compatibles or ciss systems. print quality is fantastic, i have the epson p50 around £80.

Most cost benefit analyses* dictate that you're financially better off (and get better results) having saleable prints produced at a lab like Loxley, Peak Imaging etc.

Proofs are ok on inkjets, other than that you'll be looking at dye subs.

I use a £50 Epson R285 for CDs DVDs and some proofs (the R285 will take an after market CIS system) and a dyesub printer for small (5x7 / 6x9) prints for sale.

Everything else I have done off site.

*which factor in numerous cockups, print errors, un profiled prints, time taken, ink, paper etc

The HP CM2320 has its own way of printing and copying in high quality output at the speeds of 20 ppm, black and color and can also scan and fax easily with this device with is so simple to use and maintain. get more information from here..
