I just came in to post something similar kar. Terran (especially Marauders) seem far too powerful.

...It's really interesting to see how the promotion mechanic really affects your division match ups.
seems to fit though, roughly 1:1 on win/loss at the moment so i suppose it's a working system

yea sorry about that was in a mood cause the paint on my case had reacted again , also every protoss player i had played yesterday spammed voidrays . i hate the things lol , they seem to have changed the ai serverside to make them harder ? . or is that just me ?

Terran are a little bit OP, but not as bad as most people seem to think.
Marauders are easily countered imo.. For zerg its just Roach/Ling to hold off untill you can get some hdyra out, or Muta depending on tech.
for protoss it'll just be Stalker/Zea hold off untill Immo's.
Its more about your armys synergy than about what directly counters what.
I've only really just started playing as Terran in 1v1 since the phase 2 opened, before that i was Zerg and occasional Protoss. Marauders seem fine to me, its Ghosts and Tanks that are the biggest imbalance.

Yeah it is quite hard.. infact near impossible to hold off with bare gate units.
If he's massing pure maras from the start it should be scouted, thats when you decide to make the tech switch to VR or Immo. you should be able to hold off while you do this with Sentry/Stalker/Zea.
If it was that easy for Terran to win with Marauders, you'd see it spammed, I've not seen pure Marauders once in high level play.. not unless its a new phase 2 kinda tactic! lol
Dunno... i just feel that Marauders are ok as they are, maybe a very small fire rate decrease to balance it out? as their stats seem fine to me, and without them being as useful as they are, Terran wouldn't have a leg to stand on.
I'd still like to see a Tank nerf and a ghost EMP nerf.
EDIT: In regards to VR/Pheonix, as Zerg, i prefer it when they do that, i feel its pretty much an instant win situation. Key priority as Zerg is to get the lair up ASAP if their not multi-gating, your drone scout can pick that up by just gliding around the base. Get an extra queen or two from what you normally would, and just micro them untill your Hydra's come, its really a lot easier than it sounds. Queen mico, save your ovies and win
As Terran i normally Tech vs protoss anyway, so i'll always have vikings ready to be build should i need them. but aim for Banshee harass into MM/Raven for the drones.. obviously not letting the banshees die! that should keep the Protoss contained enough for you to expand and get the extra gas needed.
What race are you playing with at the moment Chaotic? Maybe we can give you some anti-VR pointers.


Sry if this has already been asked but witht he full release in about 2 weeks how long will the beta last (phase 2)?
i just gave me spare account to a friend unfortunatly,
however i would have thought pentium dual core would be fine. its not a very demanding game at all really.... no Blizzard games are, their all about gameplay!
Will ask around to see if anybody else i know has a spare account you could use.
