Stolen Astra VXR - Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire

Why do you want it back?

Get the payout and buy another one which isn't labelled "STOLEN/RECOVERED" and worth about £3k less than the few seconds before it was nicked.

Never understood trackers, on a similar subject - unless I've got something so rare that it could never be replaced, if they nick it, they can keep it. I'll just buy another.

It won't be labelled stolen/recovered if the insurance company haven't paid out already.

was hoping the thread bump was to say it was found.

Suffice to say if its not been found now they've twigged its not got a tracker on it and its probably on a container to cyprus or similar.

but this makes me so happy to live in a safe area, and to have no letter box.

These are proper car theives, not junkies looking for something to sell for a fix. They target nice safe areas as they are more likely to have high value cars.

Not that an Astra VXR is really what I would call a "high value car" ...maybe they should be looking for Mercedes SL's ...new BMW M cars and Range Rovers etc ...the BMW X5 was always a favourite with professional 'steal to order' car criminals too.

The above is very true. This particular VXR was stolen from Chalfont St Peter in Buckinghamshire which is one of the most expensive areas in the UK to live in. You'd hope that being as the car was parked on his driveway underneath his bedroom window it would be safe. We can only assume it was rolled away rather than driven.

Thanks everyone who has taken an interest in this thread. Sadly the car has not been found and it is very unlikely now. Gits. :(

I drove around there and a few other places in Hertfordshire over the weekend, saw a few blue Astra VXR's but not the one with that plate I'm afraid. Will keep my eyes peeled again when I'm back in a week.

Still desirable though, and less likely to have a tracker than an SL.
