So who's got an XBOX "Slim" coming this week?

Damn that sucks, I just had to do a content liscence transfer a week ago because one of my achievements wouldnt unlock in army of two.

My new xbox arrived!

Its absolutely silent - cant hear a bloody thing from it until I put my ear to it.

Its very light, and quite a bit smaller than the older model.

When playing from a disk, its MUCH quieter than even my 2 week old console (which I considered to be quiet running from a disk)

Oh and the grills on the side? Thats actually the exhaust - I presumed it would be intake but it isn't.

Well reserved my copy of the 360 slim for tommorrow...paid £20 deposit which ill get back when i trade in my elite and a few games.

Looking forward to having my shiny new 360 slim...seen one on display today and it does look very nice.

Is the HD still connected on the outside or is it now internal??...i had a look at one today in the display counter but didnt actually look at where the HD is connected.

The HDD is internal, hidden behind a flap at the back. A new design so you cannot use the older clip-on caddy HDDs.
 
Hmm...I could get one for £170 from work, or £178 with Red Dead Redemption, but that still leaves me with my current 60GB console to shift somehow.
 
Is anywhere offering trades for Xbox Premium 20GB. it's about 2 years old but I have no idea if it's worth trading in or selling privately on auction/forums?
 
Got mine sitting here, just wanna get my stuff backed up, some files in my Fifa WC 2010 folder etc.. are not lettng me copy so is the only option to do it 1 file by 1 file? :(

That was just never ever ever ever going to happen... ever. Best you can hope for is an addon, such as the HD-DVD player. As for that though? there's been rumours about Xbox 360 Bluray addons for years.

Depends how you do it. There is a Transfer like utility in the Memory settings. You press "Y" on your HDD then select to move it to your USB and you can then toggle stuff you want to copy. If you try selecting stuff from the drive then copying it, it will fail on certain things.

Man this thing is quiet! Lower than my ps3 I think :D

The console isn't as small as I thought it would be sitting next to my other elite.. But I'm not gonna complain as I only bought it for the quietness and the updated chipsets :)
