I thought it was about time to get rid of the stock HSF on my Phenom 965 and have ordered a Thermolab Baram, but I am wondering if I will get the 2010 version ? anyone ordered one lately or can fill me in with the info ?

The 2010 version has a copper base as opposed to nickel and it has 10 more fins 64 instead of 54 and as far as I can tell comes in a box with 2010 on it where the early revision is in a plainish brown box.

I can confirm that the Baram I recieved is not the 2010 version, it should still do a good job though, nice and heavy but I havent fitted it yet.

thats a bit crap that its still older versions seeing as we're more than half way into the year, i would have thought whoever you bought it from would have new stock by now..

I have the 'older' baram and its fantastic! Lowered the temps on my 965 to 28 idle and 45 load! And thats with the front two intake fans on my case disabled!

Don't think you can go far wrong if you get the old one delivered but then the upgrades(..) may lower things further?

Why not do a webnote to ocUK, they may be able to sort you out?

I cant be arsed mate, as long as this does a good job I will be happy.

I am getting the same temps as you. My 965 is oc'd to 3.8 and I am using a single Noctua fan. My room is quite warm as well. It is a great cooler. :)
