Lame comedians

99/100 comedians aren't funny imo - but for some reason a lot of people laugh at them... I mean come on... alan carr is like your gran rabbiting on and Frankie Boyle on the occasion he actually comes out with something really funny does it to death repeating it every which way for the next 10 minutes til theres no humour left in it.

Jo Brand has some interesting delivery but material is hideously predictable and unoriginal.

Bill Bailey, Hugh Dennis and Russell Howard are probably my favorites of the mainstream crop. Milton Jones has a great line of unexpected comedy. I find Jimmy Carr good but only because his delivery is very polished and he has some genius in multi-layered jokes, tying discrete jokes together in ways you don't expect, etc. or so you suddenly see the joke in a whole different light just as you stop laughing the first time and you laugh all over again. Oh and a shout out for Sean Judge as well :D

Jo Brand lives up the road from my girlfriend's parents. Apparently she's a right bitch.

One comedian I quite like atm is Ross Noble. I've only seen him twice but both times he was pretty funny (and mad).

As others have said there are very few comedians that I like. I don't really see what Michael McIntyre's appeal is. My favourite comedian atm has got to be Stewart Lee.

Peter Kay (even though he rinsed out his material, his material was exceptional), Jack Dee, Jimmy Carr, Micheal McIntyre, Lee Evans are some of the best comedians.

I'm not a fan of comedians who are just there to be as outlandish and contraversial as possible. Neither do I like comedians who just talk sex and ****ing this and ****ing that. I'm not 12, it's not funny anymore.

The success of comedians like Peter Kay and Micheal McIntyre is due to most people regardless of where they are from, how old they are, and who they are, they can relate to the comedy. You find yourselves thinking ''yeah I do that'' or ''that's what my mates do'' - which makes it funnier.

There's some good new comedians floating around too.

You're twelve years old, right?

what because i like incredibly obvious slapstick humour.. i guess so then.

Or i could like pretentious observational swearing comedy that was hilarious in the late 80s and 90s.

Someone already admitting finding Peter Kay funny... hes the biggest ***** to walk the planet.
Whos next Roy "chubby" Brown??

I agree, I think Harry Hill is funny too in TV Burp. I don't care for the other programme he's in. In the same way I find Laurel and Hardy funny, which I didn't when I was younger. But for some reason, slapstick has become funnier the older I get. :D
