London and Supercars

As expected, nearly all of those cars are on arab plates.

*edit* Interesting fact. They cant get parking tickets because the wardens parking machine can't enter the arabic character set.

Even if they could, do you think they'd be paid?

It's called Supercars of London. Can someone tell me what area of london these videos are being filmed in? Are Ferrari, Lambos, ect really common in London?
That's Sloane St, Knightsbridge. And yes, supercars are common in London - especially in the Mayfair area. On Friday/Saturday nights you'll see a lot cruising around Piccadilly just "stuntin". I've noticed the new "playground" for cars is Westfield car park.

I cycle up Sloane St on my way to and from work each day and see a lot of supercars. Last week alone I saw a Veyron, two Murcielago SVs (the pink and red ones from the video above), a couple of 599s, a new California, 430 Scud and your usual smattering of gallardos, Astons, Bentleys and S Class limos. And this is just a 5 minute snapshot at 5:30pm on a week night. It's crazy.

Saw my first R8 in London in easter, Where I am a country bumpkin we don't get to see exotics much. Tractors... Well we got loads of them, Alas supercars... no.

Thats a pretty good summary of cars in that part of London. Sloane Sq is filled with them

When I lived in Battersea if I nipped out for a run in the evening or even just walking to work in westminster in the morning it would be absolutely unbelievable for me not to see a super car on the way in. If you stand infront of the tate gallery on milbank you will almost certainly see at least 1 supercar a minute during commuting hours.

Years back when I lived in Chelsea walking down to the Gloucester Road tube the A4 Cromwell Road would always be filled with them. Best ever was seeing a Merc SLR do a burnout from the light by the Sainsburys there, sounded and looked incredible

Even now when I cycle in from Bromley I'll see plenty on the way in, but to be fair not usually until I get near Camberwell Green sort of area

Common as muck around park lane, always always see countless Phantoms, Bentley GTC's, etc

Even saw that once, only 5 of them in the world (Veyron Pur Sang Edition)

See a lot of these supercars in and around Canary Wharf although not as much as i see in and around Mayfair area.

So far seen in Canary Wharf the Carrera GT, a veyron which some guy owns that works in the building next to me...havent seen it lately, probably changed it for something else...he also owns a Roller Phantom and an Enzo too, countless ferrari's, a few lambo gallardos and murci's and a few 911 turbos and for the first time last week saw a brand spanking new white 911 GT3 RS bomb it past me on my way to work in Canary wharf...the car sounded awesome and a 10 plate on it

good god, how do you get to acquire that much money without acquiring any taste whatsoever

More likely to see a ufo than a super car up north...

Are you a betting man?

Along with all the usual stuff we see week in and week out (F430's, F360's, GT's, Astons, Bentleys etc etc), i actually spotted two things that made me look twice for once:

An F40, and then the next day an Enzo at the same spot, you don't get to see many of those anyplace else in the country......

That one hangs around the dorchester fairly often (well, i've seen it twice in the times i've been in the area). I took my girlfriend for dinner there last year and she had her first close up look at one....and she thought it looked crap. :p

Visit Cheshire.

Or Barnsley.

Thinking about it, the only two pieces of exotica I've never seen on our roads round here is an XJ220 and a Mclaren F1.

Mind you, we do have two of the most exclusive places to live in the UK in our metropolitan borough.

Cheshire is so obvious, South Yorkshire... just isn't - and thats why the occasional super-rich type can live in near-anonymity and drive whatever they want wherever they want.

All it takes is a distinct lack of pretentiousness.

There is a 430 Scud in a dark grey that enters the underground Westferry Circus roundabout most morning after 7:30.

Love seeing that on the way to work!

All the Arabic plates I've ever seen have a "translation" underneath in decimal digits. Whether they would have any luck getting them paid or contacting the registered owner in Dubai is another issue all together :)
