grass snake

Why would you kill it???

Dont be a ****

Its not often you see snakes in this country, if its causing you a problem, catch it in some sort of cage and take it to be released somewhere

As far as I know xBLiNG is still looking for his snake. Maybe you could give it to him for a present? Still pretty cool, not seen a snake in the wild for years. Awesome creatures.

It would annoy me if anything tried to get into my pond at my fish, I wouldn't kill anything I'd just try my best to spook it. Well done for not showing it the shovel!

That puts my encounter with a frog last night to shame.

It was funny seeing what my dog made of it though. It was the first time it had seen one.

Oh wow, we used to get slowworms in our garden but not proper snakes and I've only seen adders on Dartmoor.

Snakes are so cool.

Its a funny thing, but when I see a snake in motion it really does get my .... well to put it one way, my spidey senses tingling. I'm not in the least scared of snakes but when I see one moving I can kind of feel something in my brain saying oi ! oi !! snake !! If you know what I mean? Hard to describe.

I guess its something left over within us on a genetic level from millions of years ago or something, I dont know. Its kind of weird though.

hmm very weird indeed adders found dead on my dads farm other day quite big been run over :( poor snakey :D

loved at the end of your film OMG ! :p

that's a damn big grass snake! i didn't think they got that big...

When I used to live in Basildon I caught a grass snake that was over 5ft long! Kept it in our reptarium for a week so I could show all our frinds and funnilly enough fed it small live Dace caught from a local stream. Stank for a day after capturing it though.

One of my friends caught one a month ago (only about 50cm long) and is keeping it in his reptarium - first one I've seen this far north.

:o

holy ****!

one of my friends were looking after 2 corn snakes (about 30-40cm long, 1.5/2cm thick) and fed them mice.

the poo stank so bad! it'd be the only thing putting me off owning them (weak stomach with stinkies :D )

Grass snakes secrete an oily substance that smells of garlic as defence mechanism (as well as playing dead) - it's a bugger to wash off. If you catch one, hold it behind it's head and steer clear of its tail is my advice!

Can't say the poo from either my Royal Python fed on large rats or my Corn Snake fed on mice stank at all. The Python's turds were huge, too. My Bearded Dragon's poo on the other hand stinks to high heaven!
