mass effect 2

so... i just got mass effect 2, didnt know what it was or what it was about didnt play the first 1, the gf's brother has played it and said it was good. what can i say? i freaking love it dont know what im doing on it but its awasome lol

any 1 got tips for it or anything cant believe i hadnt got it earlier! sorry if this is random lol

Tips; Get the 1st one. IMO, its better, by quite a margin.

3 should be awesome though.

2nd is leagues ahead in my opinion. Gets rid of a lot of the crap from the first leaving a more streamlined story and gameplay experience. Some great characters as well.

I just felt after the incredible opening I spent the whole game waiting for something that amazing to happen again, for me, it just didn't. Not saying it was bad by any means, just didn't live up to itself.

Buy the books, get the first one, get whatever DLC you can for each (not pinnacle station), replay with different genders/character traits.

The repetitive side quests and environments killed the first game for me in terms of gameplay. The story was good, though.

What annoyed me was at random times Kaiden would be shouting while the others were talking with their inside voices! It was quite weird with Alenko shouting something like 'SHEPARD, MAKE A CHOICE WE DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME' then with Ashley going 'Lets go the Commander' or something to that effect...

i strongly disliked the control multiplexing, overall simplification (no mods or different weapons) and "thermal clips" of the second, otherwise, it was just as good as the first game, which was excellent.

that said, after completing ME1 on a 2nd playthrough, then starting ME2 with the same character, the fact that you aren't a walking Juggernaut of the apocalypse is a bit jarring.

Yeah, thats pretty much what I meant, in RPGs story comes first for me though.

I'm hoping ME1 Story + ME2 gameplay = ME3.
