How easy do you guys find it to cut contact with a previous partner? and be 'cold' and move on :confused:.

Feel free to tell me to toughen up ! i'm too soft :D.

I was completely inlove with my ex GF who broke up with me 2 months ago. We were together quite a long time so wasn't going to take the break up easy, but after many failed attempts at getting her back I tried to avoid her and distract myself with friends (a bit hard when we lived in the same building).

We now live in different areas and although I've cut off contact with her, it's still hard because we share so many friends and she lives with some of my best friends which I can no longer see because of the situation.

Cutting off contact with someone is not always clean cut.

Cheers, my situation is complex. Everyone is telling me cut all contact but its difficult!, .......I will wait for some pasty comments :D.
 
The best way is to go cold man specialy if its the girl leaving you.

For the first part it depends though sometimes it helps to be emotional but at times when you have other priorities you need to learn to put emotions to the side.
 
I have always found it a piece of **** to cut all ties with ex girlfriends, but thats due to all of them ending badly lol. May I ask how complexed is your situation?
 
We work together 5 days a month. Didn't help she started see someone else from work a few days after telling me, she wasn't ready for a serious relationship.

She's now left him too, saying the same :).

That is for all the ones who weren't the one that really mattered. And in that case it was immensely difficult.

i guess its easy to cut them out if you dont like them that much. but if you liked them a lot its hard and it will probably get to you every single day :/

sounds like your ex just wants a ****buddy or something, **** :\

2 months me and my GF haven't been together but she can still level me with her eyes whenever I bump into her. :p
