How big is your digital video collection?

500GB drive houses my Video media (films, tv etc.)...but is only 381GB full
80GB of music though.

I like to hoard media/digital content, but as I can't be bothered to buy more drives as I don't need to have loads I've cut it down a lot.

Across the full network (inc the WHS) about 22tb and counting..... Could easily hit 100tb if I had a) the space for a big server rack b) the cash lol as I still have 1000+ of DVDs / Laser Discs etc unconverted.

891 Gb, that using h.264 format at roughly 1gb per hour of video.

ALL mine is legit as well. Can the rest of you say that . . . ;)

All on WHS with 5 1tb drives. Once the 2tb drives are cheap enough, I am going to start replacing them.

4TB on the NAS,
2TB on the internal HTPC Drive
6TB on my PC

Plus a few 500gb EXT.

Total of 12TB, Excluding the ext drives, as they have other content on.

Where do you get all the digital video from?

Aren't you all worried that something may go wrong with the hard drives and loose everything? I'm starting to think about building a media PC so will be building my own collection up

I've got 600gb on a 1tb nas, I've just started ripping my DVD collection and only done about 30% so far! Gonna need another drive or 2 me thinks...

really? so even if you own the dvd/blu ray etc you cant legally copy it to a hard drive for quicker access?

In the UK no. Some studios are looking into allowing a backup for bluray. But as things stand at the moment if you break someones copy protection that's illegal.
