Hey,

Couldn't see a thread about LP's new album so thought i would start one.

Can't wait for this to come out, also going to see them at the o2 in Nov :-) saw them in 2008 and they were excellent.

I know there not to everyone's taste, but is anyone else looking forward to this release? if so help spread the word visit www.linkinpark.com and follow the twitter tag #AThousandSuns

Definitely looking forward to the new album - And the new single :)

You can add yourself to the new single - this mix is winning and is definitely the best I've heard out of the lot :)

Here :)

Yeah i've heard a few and this is good, although this might not actually be on the album because LP will be the one to decide in the end.

Wow, didn't even know it was happening. Minutes to Midnight was pap so not expecting much unless they've gone old skool on us?

The new album is released 14th September and the first single is release 2nd August.

From the samples of the first single The Catalyst i've heard, it has a different sound from there other stuff so i think it will make up for some people bad reaction to M2M.

Been waiting ages for this but when I found out a couple of weeks ago and heard The Catalyst sample for the mix competition I could barely contain myself. Sounds like they might be pushing back towards the earlier stuff, a little heavier than MTM was, brilliant!

I hated MTM when it first came out but it's really a grower, now I love it as much as HT, Reanimation and Meteora, just seems a natural evolution and progression to me as they try out new sounds and styles.

If it's passed anyone by, Mike Shinoda's pet project Fort Minor is excellent, there is the official "The Rising Tied" album and the very underrated "We Major" mixtape by DJ Green Lantern...anyone self respecting LP fan should have listened to at least one of these.

Saw them at Project revolution and Sonsiphere, amazing at revolution, not so good at sonisphere as dead by sunrise came on half way through and killed the atmosphere...

Loved minutes to midnight though, along with the older stuff, so this new one will be on pre-order. (Yes, buying an album :O )

Yeah Fort Minor stuff is pretty good, Remember the Name is on the new Karate Kid advert!

I'm not the biggest fan of the way Linkin Park are heading (or were heading based on some comments) I really hope they move back towards the old linkin park. I liked Minutes to Midnight but it goes at the bottom of the list, I preferred collision course! I saw them on the M2M tour at the O2 back in '08 and again the same year at projekt rev at the Milton Keynes Bowl and they were fantastic. There music isn't the best but they're my favourite band as they were the ones who got me into rock/metal and even rap :D

I'm looking forward to and hoping the new album is better than M2M and has more of a 'Hybrid Theory' feel to it.

The Rising Tied is one my favorite all time albums. Its kind of annoying its their only 'real' album, I always felt there was plenty of space for more FM.

I'm looking forward to this, hopefully they will go back to what they did and add some Fort Minor style in there. Absolutely loved The Rising Tied and We Major, didn't like MTM at all really. Just didn't seem like them really. It's all good going in a new direction but it wasn't what I expected. Hoping this new album is a large step back but to some where else as well.

My g/f and I have always wanted to go see Linkin live, and I notice they are on at the O2 arena London in November. I went to tickermaster and they have loads of tickets still by the looks of it including standing ones. Is there any reason this is not sold out? It's just, every concert I have ever tried to get tickets for I have always struggled. How long have they been available? Recommend I go see them anyone?

It could be you looked at the extra date that they added because the first one sold out?

I'm in the LPU so got my tickets on presale.

Can't wait for this, 08 gig was the best gig I've ever been too.

CHECKOUT LINKINPARK.COM they have released the album art for A Thousand Suns.

And keep voting for your fav remix, there is a new number 1 too. Although as i said the voting does not pick the actually winner. The Catalyst remix vote

And i agree Fort Minor was a good side project but i think with the success that Linkin Park have it was never going to go much more then it has.

That is a ridiculously bland artwork, looks like it was done in 10 mins in photoshop at the last minute
Less is more. A statement used a thousand times but it certainly seems to be the trend this year

Greatly looking forward to this, they were amazing at Projekt Revolution UK
