Just wondering if any of you got the chance to play Chrono Cross (PS1)?

Said to be a 'sequel' to Chrono Trigger (SNES), but in reality it was basically a remake of 'Radical Dreamers' (SNES satellaview) which was more like a half-baked spin off, than a sequel.

Unlike 'Radical Dreamers' though, CC was a great game and sadly never released in the UK, despite being one of the best PS1 RPG's to date and scoring a perfect 10 on gamespot.

So if you did play it, what did you think of it?

Personally I love it, but I have to admit, I was dissapointed how little the first CD (of 2) had to do with Chrono Trigger - given that at the time I was expecting it to be a direct sequel.

I'd rate it probably 3rd best PS1 RPG, after FF7+FF8.

I played a decent chunk of it a few years ago. Don't really remember much of it now to be honest. I don't recall thinking it was amazing, and was disappointed that it seemed to have nothing to do with Chrono Trigger. I'm sure i'll give it another go *someday*

You should, as it has quite a lot to do with Chrono Trigger.

I have the PS1 version sat on my shelf, along with Grandia, Vagrant Story and of course FF7,8 and 9 Black label versions. Also have PS2 copies of FFX, FFXII, Persona 3FES, Persona 4 and Grandia 2. I have my PS2 hooked up to my tv so I have no excuse :( I got sidetracked because of Red Dead Redemption, but now I have finished with that I suppose I should really get back into FF :D

The first CD didn't, but the second did. Although in the first CD one of the main characters (Kid) was actually a character from Chrono Trigger..... But you don't find out until later who she is. Although You'll already know if you played Radical Dreamers.

Haven't played this for a while, so I thought I would play my copy on my PS2. Then I realised that I sold my NTSC PS2 and now only have a PAL PS2 console :(:o

It must be one of the hardest games to play for us Brits, since it doesn't run on PAL consoles and as far as I know it doesn't run on emulaters (could be wrong about that though, not sure).
