It's not going to kick off until NK is 100% sure it's missiles can reach the US homeland the failure of their last test means this isn't the case

I agree and America wont react until they know for sure that NK is capable of launching missiles that will reach the US.
 
I think even China is becoming tired with North Korea now.

They keep them happy because the two countries share a massive border and if North Korea becomes unstable the population will flood into China by the million.

They also act as a handy buffer for China between them and US troops stationed in South Korea.

As for you all saying N korea sunk the ship, it isn't 100% certain it was N korea, and apprently a torpedo couldn't have caused the clean cut off damage that happened. Also there was no internal explosion.

If you have seen how absolutley far gone they are into loving the dear leader, do you honestly think the very people who they have been taught to hate come rolling in with tanks are going to get a friendly greeting?

I'm pretty sure these people will fight until the death, remember, a world without N korea is a world not worth living in...(or something to that effect!)

A military solution is a stupid option here if you ask me.
 
NK are like the embarrassing friend that you wish you never had. I wonder if their nuclear arsenal has improved from their previous 1MT yields lol?

They're more like the mouthy chav boy down the street who is scrawny and pathetic but hides a little knife in his pocket!

I doubt even that would work. All the dear leader needs to do is listen to his advisors. Once they can feed their people and introduce adequate healthcare then I wouldn't be so against North Korea.
 
It's just the usual sabre rattling. It'll probably get more and more frequent as Kim Jong Il gets closer to dying of old age and the various internal factions try to appear to be the most worthy of taking over.

It'll be the same old story until he dies. I wonder if anything will change when he does?

Do you know how many people attempt to escape the country each year?

If you watch the interviews with people who have escaped it becomes clear that the people are under no illusions and want to be free of him.

 
After watching several videos and documentaries I agree that the people of NK don't particularly like him. They are brainwashed and kept isolated from the rest of the world but when there is massive famine and people dying and black markets just to get food it is clear something is up.

And even if they can't nuke the USA they can still get SK and Japan.

I watched a National Geographic documentary about North Korea. They posed as assistants to a Nepalese eye doctor who was invited to to NK to help remove cataracts from about 1000 people, in a few days.

Reporter summed it up basically that they're so far gone, they cant distinguish between the fear or the fanaticism The surgeon who gave them their sight back, as soon as they took off the bandage and could see again, they didnt thank the doctor. They went straight to the front to thank the picture of Kim. It was like a cult, everyone cheering and waving. "Thank you Kimn for giving me my sight back, I'll work harder in the salt mines" "Thank you Kim if I had a gun I will shoot dead every American I see" etc etc. :confused:

Some guard who defect/escaped described a scene where kids were fighting over a corn kernel which they found in some cow dung.

It is quite amazing how detached from reality they are. I was talking to a colleague at work about it, he pretty much summed it up. They've been brainwashed so much for so long you can pretty much class them as being loonies.

EDIT: I could be wrong here, but from what I understood from the documentary, NK dont see SK as the enemy, they see them as their brother. But the Americans as the evil one keeping them separated.
