So i have orderd a physical disk.

I hate swaping disks.. does starcraft require a disk to be in the drive? If so can i just download the client and use the CD key from box?

No, AFAIK, the retail copy is different from the digital copy you can currently download, so you can not download now and install with a retail key.

I might be wrong as I'm only going off what I've read.

I have mine already, but as mentioned before you can't install until then.

You have a SC2 disc copy already or have you downloaded it already and awaiting activation?

If you have the disc copy it would be nice if you could stick up a few pics of the box/manuals!? :)

Box/cd copy, nothing special you can google the pics but if you really do want them I can take some pics later.

Well for one, Terran missile turrets can't shoot ground units. :p

Apart from Colossus :)

Wish they'd send mine early so I can dribble over the manual and just sit there looking at it for hours!

Plenty of manual type guff to read on Blizz's SC2 website.

Well it turns out I'm not waiting to see what the early changes/improvements to Bnet 2.0 will be, I've caved in and ordered it (again).

I'm not sure how many people are interested in competitive starcraft 2, but last night there was a match between TheLittleOne and Tester (and commentary by Day[9]) that was the most amazing battle of the beta (at least that I have seen anyway). It had everything an epic battle needs, 30 min of terran vs protos with nukes, motherships, battlecruisers and half a dozen planetary fortresses used just for defense. I think the word 'epic' gets used way to much, but I have to say this match was quite epic.

For those who want to see it you can watch an archive of it here: http://day9tv.blip.tv/file/3917155/ I know some people have had issues with that website though, such as having to start from the begining if you try to skip anything, and having to watch an ad so it may be an idea to download the .flv and watch that.

can't watch that here, it on youtube yet? if so can someone embed it here as I can't get on youtube here!!!!

that trailer was pretty freaking epic, i hope the game is single player orientated, with solid story telling, beats multi-player grind anyday :) can't believe after over a decade starcraft is finally back, on tuesday!

If starcraft 2 lasts 12 years like the original did, they even at the current price you will get your money's worth.

Same. I'm not being ripped off just because it's going to be popular.

35 quid for a game that cost a fortune to create and promote isnt exactly that bad. Call of Duty was demanding high prices and I found it was worth every penny at 40 quid.

We all often complain about PC gaming dying, then we are too tight to pay a higher than usual retail price for a game.

Cant see what peoples problem is really.

Since when is £35 a lot for a new game?

I very very rarely buy new games, but whenever I do they're always £40 so I'm honestly confused at why people think the price is high.
