You have exceeded your monthly 500MB data allowance. You may find a priceplan with a higher data allowance more suitable. Please call customer services for more information. To stop these messages Text STOP to 40506. You have not been charged. Sent JUL 24 @ 10:57 UK

Web browsing, eBuddy, app updates, about 30 mins of Google maps. No iPlayer, or radio streaming, pod cast listening or anything I would normally do seen as I'm not in uni now. I must be special to be in that 3% of people who go over their 500MB limit.

No idea if I have been charged, have to wait until the next bill.

Anyone fancy finding me a good deal on the Desire or Galaxy S with T-mobile seen as they do 3GB?

Can you not use a bandwith monitor?

That deal won't have the 3gb FUP Clairvoyant as you can only get that through t-mobile direct.

However it's still a decent deal with a 1gb soft FUP so that'll probably be fine anyway :)

I'm yet to be asked to lower my usage. Last month was as follows: made 609.674MB of mobile browsing.

In the last 24 days I have only used 55MB, including using navigation to display a 300 mile journey, not following the prescribed route (wanted it for road names).

And so begins the Vodafone shafting  :p

in what way ? atleast theyre offering a few warnings before they start charging

vodafone warned of this months ago. then without warning o2 jumped on the bandwagon and are doing the same. they are not making it clear wether they charge or not though

anyway OP phone them up and tell them your contract says unlimited internet not 500mb internet:p doubt it will do anything but atleast they will know why you leave them

That is meant to be the case, however, if you call up T-Mobile, tell them you have an Android phone they put you onto the 3GB package without much hassle.

If they get funny you may just have to call several times :p

Indeed and you free up the booster to use as you please as well. I use mine for free calls to Canada :)

I did this a while ago, they had no problems upping it to 3GB.

A week later though, I sold the phone. No longer on Android, but they don't care, and aren't bothering lowering it to 1GB.

I love T-Mobile. <3

I've used 501MB total this month and no text (327MB received, 173MB transmitted).

I tend to upload youtube videos etc via the phone now because the upload speed is double that of my 20MB cable connection - lmao.

I think that is for receiving the text otherwise it would have said before the 'stop texts' part.

Any way going to ring up VF tomorrow and see how much it will cost to buy out the rest of my contract and i need to hunt for a place to buy my new phone from.

Unless anyone knows a good deal on t-mobile. Need unlimited texts and at least 300 mins. Preferably 18 months. :)

Yesterday I had to use my 3G stick from 'Three' after 2months of it being not used.

After having used about 15MB transfer ( bit of webbrowsing and 5min of YT) it said that I've used up all my __ 5.5_GB__ limit and also extra 5gbp for few mb. It's a montly contract with 5.5gb allowance every month and they tell me I've used it up after 15MB. I've checked data usage history and it's blank, doesn't show anything more than that 15MB yet still it says I've used all of it.

I can't be bothered to call and argue, I'm cancelling this ****.

I've got *Unlimited transfer on my mobile from T-Mobile on FlexT and never had any problems with that even thought I use it quite a lot for GPS/google maps and web browsing. Sometimes getting crazy transfers as well, up to 60-100kB every now and then.

If you are registered with vodafone online to manage your account you can view your usage and costs incurred in real time.

It's 1GB if you opt for 1GB but that's a 1GB hard cap.

The 500MB is a fair use policy so you're not charged for going over, you're just notified that you're going over.

I thought this was discussed in depth many times now...

I have had another one today. Got it at 10.53. Think I'm going to have them for the next week! :(
