Hey, after owning various Xbox 360's two have being the Jasper Elite and the other the old 20GB. They were perfect not one developed any faults. Anyway I have just bought myself a new Slim PS3 to try the Sony console, wow it’s quite!

How rubbish is the PSN compared to Live? It seems a million miles behind IMO. Can you get GTA Liberty city stories and can you play multiplayer like the 360 version?

Any other recommendations for games? :)
 
Yes you can get GTA Liberty City Stories and play multiplayer. The PSN is not as rubbish as people make it out to be, plus it's free so you can't really complain.

Game wise, you need:

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Killzone 2
Little Big Planet
ModNation Racers

Those should keep you entertained for a while.
 
psn is nothing compared to live .... you just have to get used too it.
to be honest the 360 has the better gaming experience all round imo....i barely touch my ps3.
 
There is a list of decent PS3 games about if you search, there is quite a back catalogue now.

@OP How come you didn't do any research before you bought the PS3? (No disrespect but as you give the impression PS3 is worse than 360, why did you not get another 360?)
 
as said already in this thread, PSN is great. Nothing wrong with it atall, easily comparable to Live with the added bonus you don't pay for it. Just lacks cross game chat.

Games I love on PS3.

God of war 3, metal gear solid 4 and the unchartererered games

Good question, well variety mainly. Why stick to one brand without trying the other? Seems I wasn’t missing much really, they both seem identical. The only plus I can see for the PS3 is the Blu-ray compatibility.

I don’t really know the point to this thread but there you go :d

In your opinion that is. You have not given any reasons why it's a "Better Gaming Experience".
 
Firmware version 3.40 just came out, which includes video editing/upload/share and photo upload/share capabilities. I love how they just keep adding more and more stuff to this thing for free. :)

Streaming from Netflix is my biggest use for it right now. The missus and I are totally addicted, catching up on some movies that we would never even consider renting.
 
PSN for me was actually pretty good, just everyone I know has Live. Even though I'm currently ditching it for my Pc :p

Personally I get more mileage out of the Playstation's service, there's a web browser and all the associated features alongside it, such as the BBC iPlayer. It's pretty awesome being able to watch Top Gear as I please.

I think those who say Live is unquestionably better aren't taking full advantage of what the PS3 can offer. Sure the ingame functionality isn't quite on par with Live's, but the PSN can do certain things Live cannot - and I use those features much more often than the content the 360 can exclusively do.

Did I mention Top Gear?

indeed considering i said imo (which means in my opinion talbs) in my original response!
i could list reasons but again its all my opinion and to be honest im fed up of little flame wars erypting bc someone cant handle something someones said...all i know is that i have both and have had them for years and i play my 360 pretty much everyday and my ps3 hasnt been touched since heavy rain. that to me indicates which one gives the better gaming experience without getting bogged down into ' but but ps3 has this, xbots is for noobs' style debates.

Name 5 reasons why Xbox Live is "better" than the PSN? Personally I can think of Party Chat and ummm, uhhhh, oh yeah, that's it actually. :rolleyes:
