DLC already planned for AC brotherhood

people pay so they will only make this a more present problem, your right though this is no doubt content that could have quite easily been included in the game and has been amputated from it purely for profit.

I absolutely loved Assassins Creed 2 but I was so amazingly annoyed at the two chapters they cut out of the game with just a tiny footnote about them so they could add them back in as DLC.

To this day I havent bought those two levels on principle.

Umm, Assassin's Creed sucks guys

Oh wow really? Thanks for telling me that fact, now that you have said it sucks i see no need to form my own opinion. Despite owning the 1st 2 games and enjoying them, my enjoyment must have been a figment of my imagination and i will therefore not even bother to try this game before declaring it rubbish. Arse.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

As for the DLC yes its annoying, they blatantly could have included those 2 missing memorys in the original game (Although the same could be said for most DLCs). But at least they were reasonably priced at £3ish each, unlike MW2s Stimulus and Resurgance packs at £12 each for 6 new maps and 4 rehashed old maps. Ubisoft could charge more but they dont so at least thats something.

I bought the AC2 levels, and found them wanting really (well, at least the first one). They were alright but would have probably worked better inline with the main story rather than DLC.

I tend not to mind paying a few quid for DLC if I've finished a game and the DLC can breathe a bit of life into it. It seems very 'enterprising' to be doing it this way, but if the DLC is to be any good, it needs to be planned. Not a case of 'oops, we missed that bit, lets hash it up and chuck it in.'

Also don't forget they're working to a timeframe and inevitably ideas are dropped or trimmed if time is short, so DLC is a good way to get it to us.

My bottom line - if I get the game cheap in the first place, I don't mind topping up that cost with DLC provided it doesn't go beyond RRP.

What I find really annoying is when I pay for this DLC and it's 100kb big or something! Like onslaught mode in BC2. So it was pretty much just there in the game but you have decided to charge me £8 for a tiny bit of coding, Cheers.

That seems quite common nowadays. Capcom did it with RE5. I believe something similar was done with bioshock 2 as well.
Makes me quite mad. If they're going to release DLC then it should be stuff made AFTER they finish the game.

Same I just watched the chapters on Youtube, I missed nothing. I have no problem with dlc but not when they clearly take mid level sections out that are ready for no reason.

That new version of Assassin's Creed II - does it have the missing chapters on the Blu-ray Disc for PS3 or is it a code for download, the same as the 360?

If I were to take a guess though I see this DLC likely being more multiplayer characters/maps.

Would be nice to see some Single Player stuff though, preferably longer than the ones for AC2.

To be fair, Onslaught was added in the 250MB-odd patch that came out a few days before, but the so-called "VIP map packs" are blatantly on the disc already considering there's no downloading required.

but then the VIP code was 'free' as long as it was an original purchase so they're just slowly releasing the content rather than making you pay for more, if that makes sense.

I do find it annoying though to have DLC planned before a games even been release, just throw it on the discs or something.

The VIP map pack thing isn't the same as you get the code if you buy a new copy, you only pay if you buy a used game. I think that's quite fair as it means they get some money back from the used market.
It's charging for content that was on the disc even if you buy the game new that I disagree with.

It's more the fact that they make it out to be new content that you're getting, when it's a) already on the disc and b) re-hashed maps you've been playing for months already.
