One last time before I press the buy button, GTX 470 vs the 5870

But what about:

This is where reviews get confusing. Although the frame rates in the above chart look optimistic to me! :)

I thought there was some benchmark that showed the 2gb to be slower than the 1gb in certain benchmarks

;)
I believe 2GB Vram gives you a extra -2-3 frames at 1920 res rather than 1GB Vram.

I believe where you gain the extra Vram is at a higher res ie: 2560x1600

Im sure another thread will be created soon for all of us to discuss this in more detail:rolleyes:

I have a dvi monitor however, I dont think that card has any dvi connector on it?

Yo dood

It uses Mini display port connectors. However, it also comes supplied with 1 x Mini DP to HDMI Cable, 2 x Mini DP to Single Link DVI Cable, and 2 x Mini DP to DP Cable.

Hope that helps dewd

Every body seems to be in consensus that that is the card to go for so might do it!

the 2gb version that is:p

I got the Powercolor 2gb version last week kicks ass and dont worry it comes with mini DP to DVI conectors :)

While it is true curently there are only one or two games that beniffit from the extra ram games like Metro and GTA 4 the odds are more games will do in the futuer

Atleast thats what i'm hopeing :P
