What on Earth is wrong with the Marilyn Monroe quote it is a simple statment that is true about everyone, and if you can't still love someone when they are at their lowest or worst then you really don't deserve them at their best.

No - because it applies to men too.

PLUS, the part of the quote which really makes it quite true is "if you can't handle me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best". It's left to you to read in to that how you want too.

It could be seen as if you're having a bad time, for example you've lost your job, lost your health if you can't stick with them, you don't deserve them when they're happy and healthy.

Dont get me wrong, Im working in donetsk right now (half the city is russian) and many of my friends live in russia, they are very warm people, we always exchange gifts and laughter and they are genuinly nice people, but when in a relationship many of them (im sure there are exceptions) will be very demanding. The majority I know are like this but maybe a third of them are nice people who are more willing to share duties.

Sperm: You are getting your end away
House: She needs something to clean while your out at work (Bit old fashioned but it was the only thing I could think of for house)
Groceries: Because your hungry
Smile: Because you want to get your end away

That crap bit at the end just makes them feel a bit better about themselves

I always find Russians to be very humble and giving. But I know there are some high maintenance stuck up ones, they are usually quite well off (for Russian standards). Might it be just because their culture is like that? I know in some countries the woman is the pillar and the man is the sidekick

And women like that.. Ugh, I never make friends with them. They are those who hide behind quotes of 'strong women' figures and think that's an excuse for acting like a bitch

That's not much of a mitigation as far as I'm concerned - however if I knew any of my friends were responsible for such narcissistic statements I'd be giving some thought to whether we'd be friends for long. I'd like to think I've got a fair degree of tolerance and patience but that kind of thing stretches the limits - it's probably for the best though as there's a very limited chance that someone like that and I would get on all that well.

However you're perfectly right in saying it isn't something exclusive to women. I dislike it equally from men as from women.
