Glad to let you know luckily most of us up here are the same were not all a bunch of pansy push overs

There's not too many of you, but damn, you are infuriating to work with.![]()

I wouldn't be expecting any progression if I didn't do a favour once in a while. Won't go far just working to rule.I am seriously getting tired working here due to lack of work and that this is a dead end job with no prospect of any kind of progression. I've been here for 1 year and 3 months now.
Depends on your relationship with your boss and company. If you like where you work then help out why not, he will owe "you" a favour in future.

Not everyone has common sense, for you to do lifting in your job you need to Be given appropriate training i.e. manual handling.
To address another point, what kind of "stuff" is actually inside the boxes.
When i was working, i once got asked to help clean a large workspace and dismantle working areas as another contract would be relocating to the space we occupied.
I refused, simply because it's not my job, doesn't make me any less of a hard worker, nor does it make me lazy.

I don't mind helping out in the office. Do you not see, I was employed in the IT department, office desk job, he asked me to help warehouse staff unload big container full of heavy boxes. I would always help CSA, accounts, design, purchase team if required. Even atm I am helping CSA with processing orders.
I think it's clear from his posts that's not the reason though. If it is though I would agree. In my opinion its nowhere near different hes there to work in IT not be a warehouse lacky lifting heavy boxes. The guy could have a dodgy back or not be healthy for all we know. Even IF he is perfectly healthy I wouldnt be doing it. Its a totally different job end of.
Its no different to asking him to clean the place as he is not a cleaner.
Thanks for identifying yourself as another "that guy" in the workplace.
