Not a clue of the underlying issue, but flashing it from another PC worked without trouble.

Huzzah, no more waiting for O2 to release their firmware updates.
 
I can't seem to like any theme other than the SE UI because I like the drawer menu and every theme I have tried doesn't seem to include it.

This is Sony, take their ETAs with a pinch of salt. Remember all the delays with the P990? And the P900?

At least we've got the phone this time :p
 
I wouldn't know NVP would I ;)? This is my first non Nokia phone since the 90s. Even with their less than credible release dates, they were only a few days late the the last firmware. Also, bit odd for them to bring the date forward and not stick to it (the next best/worst thing is to stagger the release which they have done). I hope you took some picture of China?
 
OTA says there is an update this morning.

Edit - says it needs to be done with a computer though.

This just sounds like bits of the last one :confused:
 
If anyone does do the OTA update, can you please say if its simply 020 again. I can't be bothered to set everything up again. Only did that yesterday.
 
Well that was a futile exercise. SEUS wanted to update its software too, did the usual thing. I have just turned my phone back on and it is still R2BA020 - OTA update check won't work any more (network error).
 
got the Xperia today and it's frustrating me :S

quick question...

can Timescape be turned off? if so, how? it's always on the front page and it's annoying me. went into settings > applications > manage applications but i can't seem to delete the app?

did a search in this thread and also on google but i can't seem to much info :(

You remove widgets by long pressing them and dragging them to the bottom. The same goes for shortcuts, if you want to remove the Timescape shortcut as well.
 
Ah ok will try it through SEUS,any noticeable improvements? Soz bout the call, work keeping me busy as a mother ****er! Will try drop you a bell before Poland tomorrow!

Question, what do people prefer out of LauncherPro and ADW.Launcher? Which runs smoothest on the X10?
