I think if you are even considering something like a Skoda Octavia vRS or a Focus ST, then a Porsche 911, SL55 AMG etc etc is very much out of your range. You'll be happier with the peace of mind something newer and perhaps less exotic will give you.

Once again, this isn't a spec me thread, I just want to know what you would would buy.

But, for the record, prior to going to work aboard, I ran a Jag XJR for a year and a half and a Sovereign for a couple of years before that so I am very much accustomed to high running costs.

There are so many cars, all depends what you want, as maybe something more like a 535D would suit your needs.

I had this budget, and this is what I bought. I'd also consider a 996 coupe or if I wanted wind in my hair then a Boxster S. If I wanted a big GT then I'd get a CL55 AMG and if I thought sod the running costs then a Maser 4200 or TVR Tuscan.
