Hey guys,

brother's looking at buying a new PC so he can play WoW more efficiently. He raids a lot of the time (25 menz) if that makes any difference. Currently looking at:

Titan Predator with ATI 5770

Can you keep suggestions around this price (£670 inc Windows 7, lower if you want to be nice ;))

edit: Screen is 19" widescreen so 1440 x 900.

Thanks, Stew.

pay the extra for the Corsair 650w ATX Power Supply it will allow you to expand if you ever want to go 5770 xfire or change cpu to x4 x6 in the future. For the extra £19 you will kick your self for not getting it

Thanks for the input guys. He decided to go down the easy route and just get the vanilla Titan Predator with windows 7, although he did abuse my free shipping :p

edit: we were wondering however if 4gb ram will be enough or will another 2 (4?!) be necessary?

Erm, for an extra 30 pounds you can get a quad core i5 at 4ghz which is by far much more future proof then a that dual core, you'll get a 4850 instead of the 5770 but WoW doesn't support DX11 anyway, their still thinking about adding support with cataclysm so when eventually they do you could just upgrade the gfx to a real card like the gtx 460 instead of the 5770.

I'm sorry but 30 pounds for a quad core and much more superior processor is a no brainer to me.

Edit: + It's on offer until Wednesday.

Graphics card can easily be upgraded later. Motherboard, CPU + professional warranty guaranteed overclock is not.

4850 can run WoW with no problems, heck, I had a 8800gt 256mb and ran WoW all settings with a core2duo 8500, that system won't even break a sweat running WoW.

5770 is not that much better then a 4850 anyway, it just has DX 11 which WoW doesn't support so it's useless.

OP it's up to you, extra 30 bucks and you get a i5 quad which is one of the best processors for gaming and almost everything else. The intel i3 is the centrino of this range and dual cores ARE becoming outdated.
