This is one of the coolest, most bizarre and yet great films I've seen for a long time.

Can't stand X-Men and all that rubbish but this was genuinely a breath of fresh air :)

Great soundtrack too.

9 / 10

I loved it too, didn't like the main character as an actor to be fair, but seeing as he was stabbed and ran over within the first half hour or so, it could be looked over :p

9/10 seems right to me

Watched it the other night as well.

Really really good film, nothing like I was expecting and I think that's what made it so good. An 11 year old girl saying ****...and then killing drug dealers... :D :D What more could you want in a film?

It is a very cool film, I give it a 9/10 as well.

Along with Inception it's my favourite film I've seen so far this year. It felt really fresh and well written. Plus the girl who the main guy dated in it was mega hot!

I'm still trying to get my head fully around Inception but yes. I agree with you on all 3 points :)

Is this out on dvd now?

really need to get this, was really a fantastic film when I went to see it.

Thought it was average.

Hitgirl was great in it, came across as a perfect little turned into a psycho midget, Cage was awful as per usual, but it just about suited the role, still didn't like him in it.

Everyone else was pretty poor, main guy and main girl can't act, at all, some of the dialogue was funny, some is incredibly bad. Its certainly not a 9/10 film, but its more than passable, unfortunately its got very little " i'm a new superhero, lets see me do superhero stuff" in it.

Really needed to be much longer and have that Superman 1 , he goes around and tries to save people crap in it, which when you think about it, by the end he basically saved the one kid, then tried to help out his girlfriend, then building up to the end. They missed out what feels like an entire chunk of the film, the building up of his reputation should have been much longer, with more scenes, more fights/saves/random stuff.

Great movie but was nothing like i expected. I thought it was just going to be a funny wannabe super hero movie :p

It was ok. As good a conversation of the comic book as there could possibly be, but it wasn't as good as the hype.

None of this happened in the comic, so the fact it's missing just serves to highlight how close to the source material it was.

However, unlike the comic it didn't quite work as a parody of the whole superhero mythos, which may be another reason was to why you found it had stuff missing. That stuff is missing for a reason, to show that the very concept in real life would be completely ridiculous and that what teenagers desire in their quest to become famous could happen quickly but can also backfire dramatically. This it wasn't quite communicated well in the film as to the purpose of this, so I can see why you felt more of a build up was required.

meh i read the comic, it was made out he was going to do it gritty and realistic (ie the kid not being a super heroes) but it quickly turned from that to oh look he's now able to kick multiple peoples asses at once and a little girl has the strength to cut through a ribcage.

The comic is ok. I don't really rate Mark Miller, to be honest. But the comic was clearly written with a lot of heart and I think it's very genuine in it's intentions, even if the pay off isn't that great.

Reading the walkjing dead now.

It's brilliant, good on the human realism, and it's refreshing to have

"oh look main character in seemingly inescapable situation, oh look he escaped.

oh now he's trapped in another threatening situation again i wonder what bs they will pull to get him out of it now... HOLY **** they cut his head off".

I really couldn't get into The Walking Dead. I have some friends who love it but I dunno...just something about it that I didn't like and couldn't quite place my finger on.
