I stacked the Alfa... help me choose a car!

I steamed into a bend at 135mph when really I ought to have been going much slower and my car is a little worse for wear.

So between now and when I am banned from driving, I need a car...

Choices are between an A3 SE with the 170PS engine with poverty spec or the A3 Sport with the 140PS engine and a high spec with red leather.

Please dont ask about the crash, just help me out.
 
I suggest you get the local taxi company on speed dial, be cheaper than the depreciation on the Alfa you just wrote off ;)
 
Also, I would pick the lower powered Sport model with the higher spec, neither car is going to be fast or fun so go with the one that provides more comfort and drive slowly and smoothly until you get yourself into something fun and genuinely sporty. It's like a BMW 320D sport, WTF is the point? Both the 140 and 170 are rubbish so get the one with the most least rubbish interior.

I'm finding this hard to believe.

Either way spend very little on a low powered car as insurance etc...

Mondeo 1.6 or something, no point spending loads on something that you're going to have to sell and give up in 4 months.

If you have been nicked at 135 on a road with bends im amazed you aint nicked for dangerous driving. Might as well just get a shed till you get banned.

I'm going to be terribly unhelpful here....are your only options really a couple of Audi A3s? Really? It's just.....I know a second class drive is better than a first class walk but I'm not honestly certain that an Audi A3 wouldn't make me want to kill myself after the first 100 miles.

I can understand being embarrassed or reluctant to divulge information if I had just crashed, I would also consider not mentioning the speed if its accurate and I didn't want the Police to see it.

I don't really care if he is embarrassed lol, I want to know what happened :p

If you wanted no one to know then surely you would just come on and ask about the two cars and not open with

If you didn't want to provoke any questions why would you include ''Steamed into a bend at 135mph'' :confused: ''Had a bump'' would suffice.

I'd go for the latter with better spec.
