4 way watercooled SLI 480's with 980X at 4.6 - managed to run Crysis maxed out and frames touching average of 50 :D

someone's actually done it....finally :p
 
Surely you want 60 average for v sync lol.

I now finally believe the code is that inefficient. That setup should destroy that code, and not the other way around.
 
This is what I get on warhead with SLI 480s at 1080p.

what about us with 120hz screens.. vsync on is 120fps for us...
i think to play crysis maxed out @ 120fps solid would need a few more generations of gfx cards to pass us by

didnt he say lack of Vram was holding it back or smth as well?

maybe a 2gb+ version of this card would add more than the 1-2% increase that 2gb 5870's get over their 1gb versions

he only said that for metro

plus it would be a 3GB card unless they deliberately lowered the memory bus which a lot of people wouldn't be happy about
