**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

Well, after winning 3 of my 5 placement matches I've had my ass well and truly handed to me in the three Bronze matches so far.

Could have won all three but ended up losing as was micro'ing attacks so much I forgot about my bases. Noob.

For some reason bronze is much harder than silver. I got promoted to silver and it's been very easy since. I think it's because good players like to quit out of their placements so they get in bronze and work their way up.

No offers around yet I'm afraid. Seems to be holding steady at 34.99 around town (Tesco is where I got mine)
A few mates are waiting till it drops below the £25 mark which wont be for a while yet...

To be honest it's well worth the asking price in my opinion ;)
 
Just won a couple of games, which was a surprise :p

Makes a change from getting trashed anyways, up for a few games if anyone is interested Gizka.931 :D

Yeah, you're probably right. I don't have much free time at the moment though so I'm content to wait till it comes down a bit :)

The win ratio statistics seem a bit add...

For example, in gold platinum and diamond, every race (including random) has over a 50% win ratio. Unless this is taking the global resuls from each player currently in the league (accounting for the fact that most players in gold/plat/diamond have been promoted from below and hence have >50% win ratio?).

Just beat a platinum terran who tried to proxy reaper me. I actually messed up my response by throwing down another gateway instead of cyber core. Then about 20 seconds later I remembered I saw the tech lab and realised he was going reapers. Luckily the guy wasn't very good and just focused on the zealots until my extremely late stalker came out.

Lesson here is to always check the xel'naga watchtowers on the way to scout. :p

Phew, that was close! A guy who blocewd of the ramp and went straight for cloacked banshees. Good thing I had sensor scan! Phew. Wish I had scouted him a little earlier than I did! Won 3 of my 4 placement matches so far.
