Why is Racism Unacceptable but Homophobia is Acceptable?

In topic, my answer to the question would be one of these two;

Maybe because racism is stupid (sure, there ARE differences between races, but none should be discriminated against), while homophobia is kinda understandable, as being gay is not natural, or logical. If everyone was gay, the human race would die out.

I believe people should have a choice in whether they want some rudey nudey time with someone of the same sex or not, but that doesn't make it any less weird!

I'm not saying gays should be discriminated against, for jobs, housing etc, but well, they shouldn't be surprised when people are shocked/puzzled/slight sickened by what they get up to.

Although lesbians are fine.

If the child is not inferior then there is no detriment to the child from only having female or male parents and no problem is there. ;)
 
I have two younger cousins who's parents split when they were in primary school. The mother remarried a woman.

At primary school the kids were extremely clever and both parents had high expectations for them.

The problems started as soon as they joined high school and fellow pupils found out their background. Both kids were singled out and badly attacked. The attacks were regular and the school struggled to deal with it.

The elder of the two left school at 15 with no qualifications and has basically turned into a no hoper.

The younger cousins treatment was so bad the school asked her parents to remove her and put her into another school. As soon as the kids found out why she had left her old school, the abuse started again. Sadly she was taken out of school at 14.

It's what goes on outside the homes of same sex couples thats the problem.

The OCuk forum has people from all sorts of backgrounds and interests. Most share an interest in Overclocking, but not all.

Your an idiot, you have posted nothing to back up what vile rubbish you are spouting. How about you go back and read the actual thread where peer reviewed scientific journals got posted showing Children being raised by homosexual parents are working out just as well as those raised by hetero ones, and more importantly than that, MILES better than those raised in community housing and care homes.

Your argument relies on you thinking its weird and is pathetic.

So far none of the examples you have given amounbt to much.

Children get male interaction from all kinds of sources, not only their Fathers.

My father wasn't around much and my Gran bought me up (my mother disappeared when I was very small), I turned out just fine.

It has been shown in research that single parent families do not affect the child in the way in which you suggest, negating all examples on the lack of a Father in the home.
 
B&W what were your parents like then? Because something has obviously gone wrong in a big way somewhere in your case. Were your parents gay or something and you blame them?

Why such anger and vitriol?

All men are different. I'm quite androgynous (in the sense that I'm mentally both masculine and feminine, not the sense that I'm neither), some men are very feminine (without being gay) and some are very masculine.

Having a penis does not make you wholly masculine, and it's not correct to conflate sex with gender.

Dont need to read any articles, I just need to look at the real world and talk with most people and it would certainly be viewed as wrong and most kids at school would be bullied for it with bad consequences.

Perhaps in the future in a more idealistic world it may be seen as normal but not in this world.

Now look at how calm and rational my post is compared to yours.

Learn something.

You think this is anger, lol.... I have been calm throughout the thread and remain so unlike many other posters who have no skills in communicating with people (even over the internet which is the easiest..)

Are you gay? it seems your obsessed with me in many threads you and mr.tefal stalk me...

And like with many things that were once taboo and now the norm, the changes need to happen, and acceptance comes with time.

It used to ridiculous for a woman to have a career or be the breadwinner in a household 100 years ago. The world changes, times move on.

I also said fatherly input, perhaps the masculinity bit was a bit silly. No woman can ever teach a child about how life is for a man.
