more to the point, is there any proof that it turns you gay? , iv never seen someone going in one of these places shouting (oi oi, get your **** out for the lads) then walking out wearing a rainbow flag singing "I like willies, I like willies")

whilst there is ofc a benefit to regular, safe sun exposure - vitamin D etc - i do not understand where this correlation between tan / attractiveness has come from?

if you look at the statistics - the age of people recieving treatment for skin cancer is steadily declining as the 'fashion tanners' develop bcc / scc / melanoma at a young age.
traditionally skin cancer came with age, a lifetime of sun exposure (gardeners / outdoor works / people who spent a lot of time abroad)

edit: from what i've read it is very diffcult to say which is more dangerous (sunbed v sun) - as it is unlikely that people who use sunbeds dont also expose themselves to the sun too. (so no 'control' for data)

I did think that a couple of visits to a sunbed place before going on a sun holiday would help, as you've introduced the UV to your body over a length of time rather than all at once.

It's still gay though (as are sun holidays) and I chose so in the poll.
