Hotmail iPhone/iPad

I read that Microsoft had enabled Activesync for Hotmail and that some users had got it working and some not (me in the latter).

I was just wondering if anyone else had got it working.

Not been able to log into hotmail from my iphone 4 since yesterday.

Is that using Hotmail setup as Exchange or through webmail??

That was through webmail, it's all working now, looks like they were updating the site both mobile site and pc site.

I had a problem with a saved bookmark at one point but when I managed to login it looked as though it had been updated.
Just wish they would update my account to Activesync so that I could access it through the mail app without a third party.

Installed ios4 today and readded my hotmail account and all i get is repeated requests for my password. Back to 15 minute syncs on my old profile i go

I wish they would hurry up and just enable this for all users. It would make life so much easier on the iPhone and I wouldn't have to use 2 seperate Apps for 2 email accounts.

From what I heard they had to many requests when they opened up the ActiveSync and shut it down for a while. No idea when it will be back.

Just tried mine again now and its working!!

Currently pulled down 3175 emails without a password error... looking good.

Just tried mine again and still no luck. Can I just confirm settings are:

username - email address
server - m.hotmail.com
ssl - on

Yep that's all correct.

Maybe they are turning it on for people gradually.

Wish they would hurry up and enable mine. Would love to stop using 2 apps for email and just use the one.
The only problem then would be the updating of folders when items were automatically moved to them.

Typical, I spent loads of yesterday trying to get my Hotmail to re-direct to a Gmail account to come through my phone, and I didn't have to!

I'm still getting password requests, any ideas?
