Evening all,

My car needs a oil change doing and it seems that getting it done at National Tyres works out cheaper than doing it myself. But on the website it recommends Castrol Edge 5W40 for my car. Is this ok to use since my car has only covered 69k miles.

Thanks

It's fully synthetic. Make sure you use LL01 approved oil.

ie Edge 0w30 or Mobil1 SuperSyn 0w40.

Thanks for that. Might do it myself and get the oil from costco. 5L of Mobil1 0w40 is only £28. So i'll need 2 bottles this time but only 1 bottle next time :)

You wont manage to get it done at national tyres, they fobbed me off every time i have tried to get a proper car done there. Forget them unless you can be arsed to have a fight on your hands and someone working on your car who really really doesnt want to, just to save 20 quid.

Absolutely this as well - it was massive hassle.
