So yesterday my new 95W TDP 1055T arrived.
Had a few problems with it originally with the overclocking, it was quite a PITA, so much potential but I struggled to get settings correctly, I went in too fast etc.

Anyways, here's my current highest "stable" overclock.

Funnily enough, my cooling in Just cause 2 is set in such a way that it raises at most around 1c :p

That's it, rub it in lol

No, good effort mate. If i had the spare cash to hand (i dont, baby on the way :p) then i'd pick up a 95w hex but for now i'll just have to be patient and put up with my rubbish PII 965 :D

cracking overclock, cant seem to get my 1055t 140W stable @4004. interesting how you lowered your mulitplyer and upped the FSB, that never occured to me, not sure if my Gigabyte MA-790X FSB would handle 344 what where your votagles on the HTT & NB ? may I ask

I think my 95W TDP is good, even among 95W TDP 1055T's mine has a VID of 1.15v, I've seen some at 1.175 upto 1.225v.

I had a 1055T 125W, I kind of hated it.
Set your multiplier to 13 with a bus of 300.
Settle with 3.9GHZ core, 2.7GHZ CPU NB and 2.1GHZ HT.

CPU NB at 1.35v, Core voltage at 1.5v. It should be stable.
And these 1055T's can't seem to hold a high overclock at a multi of 13-14, I had to lower it and abuse my Crosshair.

Just tried your recommend config and all is well until test 6,on blend 4000LLI 1024k 1 of the workers fails with an error.

any suggestions, I can only increase NB & SB by 0.100 volts at at time

thanks

yeah games temps are low on this chip... ive come from owning an AMD athlon 64 +3400 single core. gaming temps 58c+ to Phenom II x6 cores temps 35c :) I actually love this chip... found my sweetspot now @3.5 on Air with CPB on @4.125 nice little boost for gaming..

Niiiiiice, if this is common for these chips, the king is dead, long live the king.

My 95W TDP VID is the lowest I've seen, having clocked a bunch of Phenom II's, I believe the VID matters.

A 125W 1055T generally has 1.375v VID, a 95W anywhere from Lower than mine to 1.225 (Highest I've seen).

This chips are just great.

Mine should arrive tomorrow.I can't wait to start ocing it.

I heard that the Thubans have issues with their temp sensors. Is this true?
Some say that usually the temps are a lot higher than what its displayed.
So has anyone done some testing to prove this?

ah martin, that temp is close man, 59 on your cpu is hot . 62-63c max for these chips ive read
amd says 71c max but i guess thats for stock. the way i see it when overclocking the max temps limit drops

and amd says 1.375v max for these chips
