Do you recycle your shop packaging like boxes, plastic, bottles, paper etc...?

Yes

No

Sometimes when I remember

Never

Nope,

We have no recycling and the council won't implement it any time soon. We don't have to worry about this separating our rubbish nonsense, into the bin it goes!

Well I live in an apartment block, so we have bins for general refuge and then recycling.

I live with my brother and try to recycle all our packaging, though my brother doesn't always bother. I can often go downstairs to the binroom though and find that somebody has stuffed one of the refuge bins full of cardboard, even though there are five bins specifically for cardboard right next to it!

Only the easy stuff. Bottles, cans, cardboard.

not going to start the waste food box. If I had my own house I would invest in a composter though. But while I'm renting, there's no point.

Always. Our flats have general bins, and then ones for plastic, cardboard, paper, tins and foil, different coloured glass and cartons. If they've bothered to put them there it's hardly any skin off my nose to use them.

Recycle pretty much everything that I can.

All plastic bottles and containers, all glass, all cans and all paper and cardboard. Food waste goes into the compost.

Do they start ripping open bin bags to check?

You'd be quite surprised! They don't go that far naturally, but they do take a look. They're quite stringent about it too. I had banana skins in the green bin before and they refused to take it. Whether they should have done or not, I don't know... but I thought it made sense to put those skins in there!

Edit: I'm also unsure of the myth going about that the contents of all those bins end up in the same landfill anyway, is there any truth to that?

the recycling ones are see through.
.

That makes it easier. It seems silly there is no uniform way of collecting it.

We have a black box,you put cans, bottles and cardboard in. Although you can order an extra 3 boxes for free. So I have one for each.
In the winter cardboard is left all down the street due to wind.

South Glos has a green wheelie bin for cardboard, it makes so much more sense.
