There are always going to be conflicts. If we hadn't of invaded Iraq, what is there to say that something else would have happened? (I swear this isn't phrased right but hopefully you get my drift!).

We have soldiers all around the world - not just Iraq.

Good going to give the money to Charity, since he has earnt around £12m since he left office he can certainly afford to give some money away - but decent gesture none the less, despite me thinking he should have been locked up for lying to the Country.

I suppose but the sceptic in me says he's working some other angle. Promoting a speaking tour in the states or lining himself up for a cushy position elsewhere.

wow that's mighty magnanimous of good 'ol tony... what a dobber.

It would have been better if he'd kept the announcement to himself and just donated the money instead of publicising it - the war and the current status of injured service personnel don't need 'advertising' from the likes of tony - but maybe he doesn't see it like that, which is part of the problem from the beginning.

Maybe I'm doing tony a disservice with my cynical view of his motives, but after his terms as PM, who could blame me for questioning such?
