Depends really on the IP , I'd be more hyped if the IP was a Babylon 5 MMO, or a Dragonlance MMO :)

Having said that, even then I wouldnt get too hyped, like I say I've just gone past the days of getting all cooey and dribbly over PR hype generated by people paid to generate it. These days I tend to just wait til I can play it and see than start drooling that game x is going to be the biggest thing in history because a random dev has said sentence 13.2 from the Official Game Pre-release Hype Handbook :)

Hopefully it will be a great game, we'll see. Let's hope so !
 
after getting the gw2 artbook, and currently reading the first novel, ive got to say they are pumping a hell of a lot of effort into this, that much effort has got to give rewards.

I'm trying not to fall for the hype, doing game design at uni (especially a marketing module) has taught me a hell of a lot of industry tricks etc, but god damn you can't deny this looks good.


After all I am a guildwars lover at heart too, having all 3 CE's for the first oneI do feel sort of attached to game, and ofcourse I want to follow the awesome story!

it BLATENTLY was.

hopefully some gameplay footage in the next few days though, i think its a press meeting today and then they roll into it tomorrow? (not sure)

you guys will have to post up some news as im away all weekend, grah!
 
So annoyed my friend bailed out of going to Gamescom... was seriously thinking of going :(

Can't wait to see the first live footage of the game!

Nah that is all trivial apart from the Live Feed, which is very informative. :D:cool:

The links contain like err nothing specific about the game, all very vague. :)

Quick question: 11:00, I assume that is 11:00AM? And what is the time conversion on that?

Edit: Was OK, hoping for much meatier footage Wed or Thurs.

Quite impressed with the video really.

Combat is wonderfully visually. The environment looks nice.
You could tell the some AI didn't seem to be there or something else was up, I assume that was just because it was a demo.
The UI looks pretty smart and clean.

But yeah nice heads up, look forward to more. :D
 
Eugh...to many flashing lights for attacks and general viewing.

I know I shouldn't but almost everything there reminds me off the train wreck that is WoW...I'm actually not impressed by that at all.
