right i know this is wierd but its made me irrationally angry.
i loathe when talentless ****ers get places for now reason, they use up space for actual artists!
anyway i turned on the tv last night to see that documentary about this girl. watched about 5 mins thought well this is a waste of my time so turned it off.
had a look at her this morning and honestly shes pretty much one of the most average dancers ive ever seen. shes not even *pretty* (not that thats ever an excuse either) and she is so massivley fake in front of the camera...
anyway it dicks me off i wondered what anybody else thought about her or talentless morons getting air time in general

Again shes famous in Japan and over hear shes nothing special so your views are right but to Japanese men shes amazing. You should watch the documentary if you want a better understanding of her situation. :p
 
I love the bit in the Documentary when she is looking at the age range of people who look at her videos. It's all 44-55 year old males .... she looks at the camera worried and I'm thinking to myself, well what the hell does she expect !
 
the best bit of that documentary was when she found the demographic watching her dance in Japan.

87% - 45 year old to 54 year old men.

She was legitimately shocked, she expected the largest to be '13-17 year old boys and girls'.

LOL. Basically she's a paedo's wet dream. When she found out she was shocked, but he dad was basically 'show me the money'!! So on it went ..



When he dad said it was worth her screwing up her GCSE's to do this instead, if they got paid at least £50K, it was kind of telling as well.

Shes just an Internet star who is big in japan. She sells merchandise well because thats what the Japanese culture like. Hell its what any culture likes. Take the American child stars (cant remember thier names exactly but think hannah montanna etc?) There is really no difference between them?

your right, she has NO talent but the kids in japan like her. So someone is going to exploit that and make money. Yes some creepy older guys probably like her a little to much then is deemed "safe" but that is not just something that is Japanese culture based. Paedophilia is everywhere
 
Until now I didn't know who she was. When I finish this she will be erased from my memory but no doubt there will be some adolescents who leer at her for years.
 
but does no one else get more then a little peeved that people like this get air time (same thing with big brother really but at least then you get to see a little bit about how people work)
and i spose ive now become a part of it now... showing everyone here
but yeah it just takes time away from real artists
 
At least it's not as bad as Young, Dumb and Living off Mum. Even the mention of that program makes my head hurt.
 
I enjoyed the documentry on her that was on the BBC, more of an insight into Japanese culture than into her specifically.

Ach people want what they want. I watched that documentary with interest. If it had been another documentary about yet another group of 4 19 year old blokes trying to break into the rock music industry, I'd have turned off in seconds.

It was just a little unique and also left a queasy feeling in my stomach when she became massive in Japan, as I knew he exact audience before she did. 45-55 year old blokes :O

I read it like that and thought "o.0" but then did a doubletake and it made more sense :p



I think she's being a fool, she should hit the books instead of prancing around like a loony like that wearing some of those clothes...
