Games that pass the time...

Just updated my laptop and want to put a game or two on it so when I get bored I can open it up and have some fun. I looked at games like Torchlight and Trine (downloading the torchlight demo now) and they look quite fun but either too repetitive or there isn't much to them. I like most games so please don't be hesitant to mention a title if you found it enjoyable.

So what games do you play to pass the time? (Don't mention COD or WoW or other games that require a internet connection or games that are graphics intensive - but a game that does have multiplayer would be nice

EDIT: Whats Titanquest like? Can anyone compare it to Torchlight?

Trine is a good one, but you'll play through it reasonably quickly. Really pretty game though. I can also recommend defense grid...... the rasberries are all gone!

Plants vs Zombies is also a very, very good game.

Try games like Neverwinter Nights, or KOTOR??

X 3 Terran conflict.

Titan quest is a good game but i personaly think its more fun when playing lan with m8's.

Really as said above, any decent strategy game could keep you busy ad infinitum
