I'd like to congratulate all the A Levels students that got the grades they wanted this year.

Particually the other half as she got 2 As a B and a C

It appears so:

One in 12 A-level exams (8%) has been awarded the new A* grade as pupils scored another record-breaking year of results.

I wonder how many forummers who have just done their a levels will be getting upgrades thanks to mummy and daddy rewarding their grades.

Good work anyone getting the grades they needed. Universities seem to be piling on stress over these exams.

Not me. But I will get an upgrade if I get good GCSE's (c.12A*s)

But it's understandable. I've been asking for a new pc for 5 years!

I got a D and 3 E's.

Was expecting it for being so lazy but still is such as dissapointment.

staying and doing a levels would have been worth doing if I thought I could get an upgrade out of it.Seems like A Levels are going to become the norm shortly bringing rendering GCSEs useless

Especially considering the compulsory education length is being increased.

I wish i was doing my A-Levels now. Would have got A*'s without even having to turn up to college as its really easy when its been 3 successive record breaking years.

You put yourself in the top 8% bracket? That's even lower if you're claiming you would have got straight A*s.

An A* is (just) harder to get than an A was 25 years ago. Except in Further Maths.

Got asn email from UWE this morning saying that they can confirm my place for my bcs Computer system integration course

Results were ok however I must have gone so wrong on my computing exam as I got an E in it and it dragged my overall down to a D

Nevermind, I can retake. (can't I?)

Going to place an order for my new i5 build for uni tommorow night (hopefully)

Congratulations, and see you at UWE - I'm just going in to my 3rd year. Whatever you do, don't apply for Frenchay or St Matts accommodation for first year.
