As it says tbh. Have the cash to buy a new 59 or 2x 470s. Whats going to be best?

If i sell the water block for the 59 i might be able to a 480 and a 470

ATI man for years so? But dont care if its Red or Green just want the best i can with my ££.

O also will there be probs with the Eyefinity or whatever its called in Nvid :)

Thats not a problem i run Phase Change so will not here the fans over the Fridge :)
 
Just looking and they have 2 DVI and a mini port adaptor. Do you need the same active port adaptor as ATI? Not a problem if you do i have one for the 59.

Sorry for what prob seems daft Qs but as above been ATI for years .
 
Just use the DVI outputs from the 470's and it's a mini HDMI port on the 470. Advantage of eyefinty cards is you just need one card and the appropriate display port adapter, with surround you need SLI for it to work.
 
Yeah the one downside to nvidia surround - you can only have 2 displays per GPU - so 4 displays total with GTX470 SLI (on the upside you don't have to play around with DP adaptors) - in every other regard IMO its better than eyefinity - nVidia had display spanning (2 displays) in the drivers years back - unfortunatly they made it a quadro only feature until recently - so its had a lot longer to mature than eyefinity.

Just looking on Hwbot @ results for 2x470s and there about what i got with the 59.
What i didnt say is a bought a 5770 the other week as a put me on till i get a new GPU. SOOOOOO, lol If i was to get a 59 i could run it with the 57. ORRRRR sell the 57 and the water block and get poss 2x480s.

OMG its a mine field!!!

I can get get 32k on vantage with a 59. ppl seem to be maxing out 470s around there.


TBH i just want someone to just come and fit a card lol
 
If you already have a 5970 then stick with, atleast untill you have had a look at the ATI 6000. I would hold off droping 500 ish on cards until I had seen what performance the high end ATI cards offer.
 
Ye dont think i can stop with this 5770 till then. Only running 2 screens atm cos i dont want to go and buy an adaptor.

Think what i will do is get the 59 and trifire it with the 57. Will be more than enough for a bit.
